Southwood Apartments offers 26 one, two and three-bedroom apartments on over three acres in downtown Yerington. Originally built in 1983, this property was renovated in 2017 to provide modern community housing with attractive exterior and interior features, modern amenities, and safety features.

Since its inception in 2016, the National Housing Trust Fund program has supported projects located in Southern and Northern Nevada for a combined 201 units of newly constructed or rehabilitated affordable rental housing for extremely low income households.

Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) designed and built the beautiful Larios Arms senior multi-family apartment community with 60 one and two-bedroom units in two phases providing affordable housing with attractive exterior and interior features, modern amenities and safety features.

Taking Stock 2019 reports that vacancies in Low Income Housing Tax Credit housing as of fall 2019 were 2.7%, down from 3.1% in fall 2018. Clark County vacancies were down to 2.0%.

A larger proportion of Nevada's LIHTC tenants may experience moderate to severe rent burden than in many other states. Nevada's LIHTC tenants also may have less access to sliding scale rental assistance.

Since inception, Nevada's Account for Affordable Housing Trust Fund has helped over 46,000 Nevada households including preservation or creation of 5,564 affordable housing units.
