Yerington, a prominent state politician who was in a position to decide the route of the C&C Railroad connection, which would bring the town more business, the locals changed the name of the town “Yerington.” The promised railroad did not come to fruition, but the name stayed!

Originally built in 1983, this property was renovated in 2017 by Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) to provide modern community housing with attractive exterior and interior features, modern amenities, and safety features. Financing was provided by the USDA 515 program and the Nevada Housing Division's Low Income Housing Tax Credit program.
