Remodel of Bristlecone Apartments in Ely

Rural Nevada Apartment Spotlight:
Bristlecone Apartments, Ely – Beautiful Remodel!

“Choo Choooo!” The sounds of the steam engine and clickity-clack of the rails bring the memories of the Old West to life while riding the historic landmark Nevada Northern Railroad in rustic Ely, Nevada. From the times of being a stagecoach stop on the Pony Express to copper mine boom connecting to the transcontinental railroad, Ely has established a quality of life for all ages to raise families or retire in the peaceful high-desert sunshine.

Living in rural Nevada provides a retreat from busy freeways and congestion in urban areas while still offering access to quality healthcare, dining, outdoor sporting activities and a thriving arts community. Bristlecone Apartments, named after the oldest living trees in America, is a shining example of affordable, safe and attractive housing. With newly remodeled units and community buildings with amenities such as WiFi and security cameras, Bristlecone Apartments offers residents what they need to feel right at home.

By using multiple funding sources combining private investments plus housing grants and loans, including Nevada Housing Division HOME funds, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and USDA Rural Development funds, Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) fulfills its mission to provide affordable housing opportunities for all rural Nevadans through an apartment complex such as Bristlecone.

NRHA has incorporated modern, high-quality, long-lasting standards for remodeling interiors and exteriors of properties without displacing residents from their homes or increasing rents.  Bristlecone Apartments is currently in the completion stages of full rehabilitation of 1- and 2-bedroom units, plus adding amenities such as new playgrounds, gardens, a dog park on-site laundry facilities and Community Building with fitness room, library and computer lab.

Units are available immediately and come with Spring move-in specials for help with deposits and moving expenses!  Applicants with and without housing choice vouchers are encouraged to inquire.
