Preliminary results from Taking Stock show vacancies in Nevada's tax credit properties fell from 2.6% in 2020 to 2.5% in 2021. Vacancy rates were low throughout most of Nevada but tended to be higher in Nevada's mining counties.

Fewer Nevadans Behind on Rent or House Payments

According to the latest Census Pulse data, more households were current on rent or housing payments in the third quarter 2021, possibly because of better employment opportunities as well as rent and mortgage assistance programs. The Nevada Housing Division estimated that nearly 44,000 Nevada households received housing assistance through either the Coronavirus Relief Fund or the Emergency Rental Assistance Fund.
