New permanent supportive housing in Carson City

Leasing up mid-April! Richards Crossing is a new 39 unit permanent supportive housing development in Carson City. The site will provide permanent, supportive housing with wrap around services for homeless and extremely low-income households.  On-site supportive services will focus on helping residents improve their financial and personal situations.

The new apartments are all one-bedroom, one bath and have been built with sustainable techniques using low-VOC paints and surface materials. The complex will offer improved efficiencies such as new EnergyStar appliances, low-E thermal pane windows, extra insulation, tankless water heaters and high efficiency heating and cooling.

Resident amenities include a computer lab, laundry rooms, library, game room, exercise room, medical room, and a community room. Outside is a pet park, outdoor sitting and barbecue areas, secure bike rack, raised garden beds and a vast patio area. There is also an On-The-Job-Training-Center which will provide a venue to offer a variety of occupational training opportunities.
