If you’ve been told your income is too low to qualify for certain housing, you’re not alone—and more importantly, you’re not out of options. Safe, stable housing is a basic human need. Here are programs and services to help you find a path forward.


Nevada 211: Find Resources Statewide

If you need immediate help finding shelter, food, healthcare, financial support, mental health resources or other essential services, Nevada 211 can help. This free and confidential service connects individuals and families with resources across the state.

Low-Income Housing Resources

Northern Nevada

  • Reno Housing Authority: Helps low-income residents, seniors and people with disabilities in Washoe County find safe, affordable housing. Programs include public housing and Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8). 

  • Washoe County Housing & Homeless Services: Help finding housing for homeless or at-risk families and individuals.


Southern Nevada

  • Southern NV Regional Housing Authority: Helps low-income residents, seniors and people with disabilities in Clark County and the surrounding area find safe, affordable housing. Programs include public housing and Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8). 


Rural Nevada

  • Nevada Rural Housing Authority: Helps low-income residents, seniors and people with disabilities in Nevada's 15 rural counties and rural portions of Clark and Washoe counties find safe, affordable housing. Programs include Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8). 


Veterans


Statewide Manufactured Housing Lot Rent Subsidy

Relief for low-income residents of mobile home parks who cannot afford their full lot rent. Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must have been a tenant for at least one year prior to the application for subsidy. The mobile home title must be in your name.

  2. Total monthly household income for all occupants over the age of 18 must be below the federally designated poverty level for the current year.

  3. You will be required to submit an annual renewal application in February each year, including documentation.


Please note the following:

  • The program does not pay back rent.

  • If funds are unavailable, you may be placed on a waiting list.

  • The program currently pays 30% of your base space rent up to a maximum of $150 per month. The payment will be made to park management.
